Looking for all you crazy like minded fitness lovers.
Too bad you guys are so far away wouldn't mind going to the gym with you guys :)
Count us in!
We are in....lol...well Half for sure anyways....
Wow such sexy people!
We do 24 hour fitness at Jordan's Landing. Anyone?
Just finished with work out massage and a morning relaxing in the Mirage spa. One of the best in Vegas. And yes there are very sexy people in Idaho Falls
I have a feeling that we go to the wrong gym. Never seen you hotties at the one we go to. Maybe it's time to make a switch 😉
When we first started in the lifestyle, the prospect of others seeing us nekkid was, indeed, a great motivator to hit the gym regularly. Now, we've become orthodox religious gym rats (might as well be religious in SOME way-lol) because of how it makes us feel, not necessarily how it makes us look. If there actually IS a fountain of youth of some kind, it's definitely diet and exercise.
The health benefits of a healthy lifestyle is definitely the primary benefit looking good is and awesome secondary gain
We feel that being healthy and fit allows us to do more both inside one outside the bedroom.
We love training...any couples wants to kill a session let's do it!
Same here. We love to work out. I'm a diehard every day kinda guy. She hits a couple to a few days a week. We're always interested in a couple work out partners lol. Slc801 you go to the same gym as us. We should work out! Anyone else hit the sandy vasa on 1300e and 8400so ish?
What are everyone's keys to success we do weights with accelerated cardiovascular in between sets . We have tried many different programs and found this to be the most effective for our desired results.
"we do weights with accelerated cardiovascular in between sets" Love this type of workout. Learned it from a MMA coach, he calls it Hurricane sets. We love to mix it up with weights, running, yoga, nordic skiing, biking. Staying active and fit is our key to happiness for sure! Let's work out Hot!
Eating is definetly one of the biggest factors in the equation! We've found the key is 5/6 of quality clean foods is the corner stone to lean muscle mass aND growth. This was a hard concept for her at first because she was concerned that she would undo all of her hard work. She is slowly realizing the more she eats the more defined and toned/muscular she is becoming. It's all laughing about good decisions in the kitchen for sure.
We are in the middle of the "Whole 30" and feeling great! It looks like we will call it "whole life"
"It starts with food" by Dallas & Melissa Hartwig
We started "crossfit" the middle of last summer. We go four or five days a week, sometimes twice a day.
We are not in the best shape, but we are definitely working our asses off and getting there.
Being consistent in your eating, training ( weights ) and cardio is the key....making it a lifestyle instead of its time to get into shape. Everyone's different in the style they personally like as far as training...I personally feel like hitting all your compound lifts squat, deadlifts and bench is huge....train like a savage heavy weight low reps and lighter weight high reps best of both worlds.

I'm actually very lucky and gifted in the fitness area. I don't do cardio. I don't do cross fit. The only diet I have is eat everything I can. I lift moderately Heavy with lots of intensity. Super sets, pyramids, drop sets, and negative resistance. Been doing it for 3 months and thinking of now starting to incorporate cardio with circuit training so I can lean up just enough to make the abs pop lol!
For anyone who has messaged us they all disappeared so you don't think we're being rude and ignoring
It's really hard for us to balance cardio with weights to build muscle and get lean. We both come from a serious running background and had to learn how much cardio we could do without undoing our hard work in the weight room. HIIT training has helped a lot but we both miss the long meditative hours on the road when you're just in the zone and cruising along.
Not really into forum posts, but I've been involved in the whole gym thing for awhile, its a lifestyle change, start slow, dont expect immediate results, stay positive, and stay active, the 3 D's discipline, devotion, and dedication, oh and no body shaming, smile, be kind and welcome everyone to your gym, its a bit intimidating for some, we all start somewhere.
We've been kicking around the idea of doing good a race or a Sparta.
Matt and Liz that's a very pretty picture you paint! Lol .... we couldn't agree more though.
5 to 6 days a week here, We both love Lifetime in South Jordan however we work out at different times, and have different fitness goals. Fitness and sports are a huge part of our lives.
May be fun funcpl sent a friend request.
We like taking care of our bodies and appreciate others that do as well!
We certainly appreciate those that take care of themselves!
It's so nice to finally see a topic about fitness in the forums. Perhaps it will lead to a "fit for lifestyle" meet & greet or something. We don't know why it's so hard to find other fit couples or even those that appear to be trying. We have found it kind of difficult here in Utah. We get it, exercise & nutrition is not everyone's cup of tea, although it's not really all that difficult. To each their own, but you would think that being in the lifestyle, where others may see your naked body...that one would at least try to look the best that they can. :)
We love the crowd at VASA Riverton daily 9-11 am. And it's a great ice breaker to work out with fun, sexy friends!

Yeah! Let's have a M&G where people aren't included or barred based on age but on fitness level. If you can't run a mile in under eight minutes and bench press at LEAST your body weight you can't get in. Alternatively, if you can do a hundred consecutive burpees without vomiting (or collapsing) you're in!
No! You missed it! "Those that appear to be trying." To each their own, but those that don't look like they are trying...we would not be interested, but perhaps you would...and that's okay.
It's sounds horrible, what "Somewhereintime" is saying, (especially after losing 75lbs of baby weight myself 7 years ago), but it is true. We too find that we really are looking for those with the same lifestyle habits in and out of the bedroom. We totally are all about beer and pizza on the weekends on occassion but eat clean and exercise/lift daily weekdays to not only take care of our overall health, but our appearance as well. We realize we are FAR from perfect, but attraction is a huge in this lifestyle in combination with personality. We realize those who are "fit" or "exercise regularly" have far better attitudes as well. I'm sure we will get to know many couples who are far less than fit, and that they are wonderful people, but we would LOVE getting to know more gym/healthy lifestyle friends. If we arranged a "Meet and Greet" party at our clubhouse in the Riverton area, would anybody be interested??!! KIK:sarajanay if you'd be down and we will start a group up to set up something if at least 4-5 couples or more would be interested.
Oh.....and I sure can't bench my 185lb weight as a chic!! OR run a mile in 8 minutes lol!! Those women who lift are on the stairclimbers for our asses btw..... So you may just want people who can identify the difference in a glute medius versus minimus and be able to demonstrate the difference in their "drop it like it's hot" moves~! - Just saying.....

It was a joke. Totally just kidding. We LOVE working out but don't begrudge someone who would rather use their free time doing something else. It was kind of a riff on some of the cliques in swinging.
Fuck your burpees Evil...ruining my Monday like that. :)
I did and still do, but not as regularly, the accelerated cardio in between sets or usually super sets workouts for years. I hit a point I benched twice my weight (I didn't and don't weight that much) with free weights two reps and ran a 10 K under 37 minutes in the same day. That is a few years back now. That's the upside and it was worth it. The down side is my joints are more than a bit worn from that, and other activities and accidents resulting in injury. Shredded cartilage and lots of impingements. Still have denser than average bones, and alas bone spurs. Had to drop the weight and ad repetitions, and even then some exercises I just have to squeeze and ache and sometimes stop and change angles. We have a son that is a physical therapist and versed in sports related injuries and torture, I mean therapy, and he is helpful, but just wondering if any of the aging gym rats have any secrets to offer for the still very active walking wounded. I try and stay away from using anti-inflammatory medications on a regular basis.
If we are attracted to someone, we are attracted to them. Active, healthy people who avoid excesses, at least most of the time, tend to be attractive, but they often are not gym rats. Some of us who have spent quite a bit of time lifting weights will never have bulging muscles. In any case, darlings, you look marvelous!
