Ok, I've noticed this "statement" on most profiles. What exactly does it mean? Are you a tree hugging hippy? I just don't get it.
It just seems like this is a catch all that is supposed to mean you're a cool couple but it really doesn't mean shit. For the couples that use this statement, what exactly does this mean to you?
Personally, I don't think we are "down to earth", We own two vehicles that aren't necessarily compact or fuel efficient. We recycle, but could do more. Yes, we love nature and love to go into the mountains 4 wheeling but is that "down to earth"? No, I didn't think so!
Please explain, maybe I am just bored and the alcohol is making me ponder stupid shit that is not worth the trouble but I am curious!

It probably means that one is easy going and non-judgmental and accepting of how others lead their lives and how they describe themselves in their profile.

I would say it means not stuck up! or assholes. Friendly,laid back, chill folk. I think its a good description of someones personality.

I love this term. "down to earth". It means not stuck up, not snobs, accepting, realistic, easy going, and friendly. Easy to get along with people. Not high standard but not low standards. In the middle. I hope that helps you understand. Easy to approach kind of people.

I think this is a perfect explanation... It's prettier to say than "We are a realistic thinking people" or something along those lines.. It's just a creative way to explain couples as a whole..

I get down to Earth sometimes on weekends when I'm not astral projecting myself all over the universe. It's a quaint little place, dirt, water, Plants, birds, little fury things running around. I like it.
from my perspective...'really' we are breaking down the term down to earth as if it is some kind of silly concept? I always enjoyed meeting people that were accepting of others with minimal judgment of diverse thought. That's what I always loved about people in the lifestyle, they understood a little variance in right and wrong. I remember when Ms. Karma and I would go to a regular (clothing required) resort for a vacation, and no one would even talk to us, let alone look at us, (especially when Ms. Karma was wearing a sexy swimsuit) and then we went to our first clothing optional resort, and suddenly before we blinked people were sitting on our chaise lounge with us, laughing and playing nude volleyball before we knew it. Haven't been to a clothing required resort since. I know that someone will come in after and say you are judging people that judge and I will respond with well you are judging people that judge others that judge people, and the cycle begins...lol. By the way Ms. Karma and I are very down to earth.
