Again, your experience is unique to you. It's been our experience that very few single men have been "pushy" or disrespectful. It's different for all of us and doesn't justify anyone trying to foil every single males swinging life by campaigning against them as a whole. Intolerance is never justified.
If you choose individually not to play with singles, then that is ok. We all have our preference. However, why try and bad mouth the entire group, in an attempt to demonize them to everyone else or to exclude them from social gatherings.
If you invite people that are interested in single males to your parties, it will even things out. I think a lot of it has to do with insecurity. I have yet to see a married woman fuck a single male at a party without the her and husband's consent.

The statistics of swinging - Relationship longevity in the lifestyle. - One thing we've noticed (and even had a few close calls with ourselves) is that, once the initial thrill of swinging/swapping wears off a little bit, many people look for the NEXT big thrill...usually separate play. And THAT, if you're not really prepared for it and don't go into it with your eyes wide open, is when things can get really sticky.
I have an acquaintance in the lifestyle who is a professor of physiology who likes to talk at length about the "love hormone", oxytocin, and how powerful it can be in some lifestyle circumstances. I guess a subset of this issue might be how many swingers who break up do so because they fall in love with someone else in the lifestyle.
One particularly insidious behavior that we've, unfortunately, encountered are men, both single AND married, in the lifestyle who attempt to ply Ms. Evil by saying things like, "If you were mine I would never want to share you.". There are probably a fair number of women (and probably men) who might be susceptable to that type of talk if they're insecure in their primary relationship.
If your family or non swinging friends found out you swing - - In UT it has some different connotations because of the predominant religion here. Although a few of the people we have met are still practicing, it is definately frowned upon and the majority have parents or family that are still card carrying (*UT JOKE) members.
So, that the big risk of being found out, but they way we look at it, if my family came to me and said "so and so said that you were swingers...." my response would be "my sex life is private, just like yours, and if you want to tell me how your wife likes it and give me all the sordid details of your sex life, then I can answer your question, if not, we both can go on our merry way and not delve into each others sex lives, where it is none of our business anyhow!"
Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - So we're just curious what everyone is driving. We've met some couples lately who ironically have the same or similar taste in cars. We love classic cars and muscle cars and have a couple Camaro's. We've met a few couples lately who we hit it off with and after the fact found out that we have the same cars...lol. Polyamory - three (or more)-way RELATIONSHIPS - Hi.Well I have read all the posts and thought I would post as well. My wife and I are poly. We too are just at the beginning of a poly triad, our second. The poly life style is hard to define due to the fact that there are lots of combimnations. With most of the posts I would have to agree with all that they said. Dont keep score, but most of all be honest with everyone. In our expirence take things slow and one day at a time. In one post it was said that holding hands in a mall was not taken well.... who cares! it is your life if you are happy then what is the problem. in most cases the on lookers are probably wishing they had what you have! Our first triad lasted 4 years. We were all young and she ended finding the man of her dreams and they got married. That and as abit of a twist they are swingers. As far as suport as a poly familly look at poly groups on facebook. We are members of Polyamory Edmonton. It may not be close to you but we are all open and willing to talk!
