No one knew what they were talking about. It was sad cause at first they joked that it was a well known sign, but person after person chimed in that they had never heard of it. Another SM looking for attention. What is this site coming to? I have not had a problem with the overly generous tolerance of SMs on this site, but lately it seems like SMs are getting out of control.
If you have ever been to a nice swinger club in Florida, you will see the difference between Friday (SMs welcome) and Saturday nights (couples only). The reason: the SM "Towel Sharks" circle around the play areas looking to watch couples and maybe even get some for themselves. Sometimes the SMs get so aggressive with the couples, it often creates conflicts and drives couples away.
On this site we are all supposed to be nice to the SMs and not bash them. I understand the need to be civil and respectful to everybody. I also know many of the couples here enjoy hooking up with SMs (we are guilty of that multiple times ourselves). Of course, many SMs are nice guys who lay low and don't cause problems.
Having said that... This post, the Mr. "Save-A-Life" post, and all the other stupid SM "Look at ME" posts, are really screwing this site up. In our book (and probably the majority of other reasonable people's opinions) SWINGERS are "couples" looking for other "couples". Sure swinger couples often look for a single to join, but its usually a female (highly prized) and not a male (over supply).
SMs are not swingers. They are looking for some poontang and all too often they assume that swingers have loose women to share with them. Come on guys... get your own girl and THEN join the party. Hanging around here, perving on pics, and hoping for some strange, does not make you a SWINGER!
With an over-supply of SMs, they have to resort to aggressive self-promotion in order to get noticed. This silly thread here is another example of that.

How did you get started? - - My hubby was interested in exploring his fantasy of being with 2 women in which I told him of my interest in having a 3some with 2 men. He started doing searches on the interent and came across some swingers sites and showed them to me. Based on data I've collected from hosting events, and from building the Swingular mobile app (BlackRingMobile.com), I can tell you that Swingular has roughly 500 couples who are active in the lifestyle at any given time (and trust me, anyone who's actively swinging has an account here).
Some studies indicate that as much as 4% of married adults are non-monogamous. That doesn't mean they swing, it simply means they have (at some point in their marriage) agreed that it would be okay to have sex outside of their marriage on at least one occasion. This number seems pretty high to me, especially in Utah. (Bordering on ridiculous, actually).
So somewhere between these two numbers is the truth... 500 couples in Utah have a Swingular account, and by some (very liberal) estimations, as many as 35,000 couples in Utah are non-monogamous.
Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that there are 3,000 couples in Utah who are actively interested in swinging. (Again, I have SERIOUS doubts that the number is that high, based on data I've collected from Swingular... but let's roll with it)... There are 886,000 couples in Utah, which means there's a 0.33% chance (1 in 300) that the couple you're looking at are swingers.
However, if the number of ACTIVE swinging couples in Utah is closer to 1,000 (far more likely), the odds go down to 0.11% (1 in 1,000). This is probably a more realistic picture of your odds when you try to pick up a random couple in the wild.
1 in a thousand isn't out of the question..... but unless you're prepared to be very blunt, it's probably not worth wasting your time on, either.

Canadian members - searching - We are also members of SDC and until recently they had a program called VidWebChat. This was an interesting link to other lifestyle groups they sponsered like Swingers Europe, Swingers Latino and others. They recently dicontinued that service stating that there were too many outcasts from other clubs logging on, or something to that effect. Hopefully some of our friends we met overseas will find their way to this site so we can renew our friendships. Regretfully, we didn't exchange e-mail addresses with some of our foreign friends:(
