Dating other Couples - Have you done it? - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. We know plenty of people who've done it, and done it successfully (up to a point), ourselves included. We don't know of many, if any, where it has lasted for more than a few years and didn't end somewhat badly. It CAN be quite heady and has the potential to take swinging to the next level. Unfortunately, it is also exponentially more likely to crank up the drama factor to eleven (out of ten). Quite often each couple has their own "agenda" (for lack of a better term) that is often at odds with the other couple's agenda. We've seen it frequently cause weird jealousies not only between primary partners but also between non-primary partners and in a few extreme notable cases it has ended marriages. In our case, we were relatively long-term swingers at that point who, although never really super active in the scene, felt like we'd checked off most of the things on our swinging bucket list and were somewhat curious if there was more out there to explore in swingerdom...or if we were sort of done with the scene. The couple we started "dating" wasn't really the kind of couple we usually were attracted to and maybe that was part of the allure. They also had a very interesting (to say the least) dynamic in their marriage that really was at odds with that in our relationship. Ultimately they kept pushing boundaries (started throwing the "L" word around and much more), pushed for more and more separate activities and were insidious in slowly and subtly causing rifts, both large and small, as well as a LOT of drama. We actually didn't even realize how much drama and subterfuge had occurred until we were finally out of the situation entirely. We actually miss them a little, at times, and often wonder if there might have been a way to talk things out and come to a better understanding of how to continue on in a healthier way but they've actually gone on to do exactly the same thing to a number of other couples we know (it's a small world in Utah swinging and word gets around) and it seems to be their pattern. Tldr; It can work. It's quite rare when it works long term. It has the potential for disaster. While it's appealing in many ways we don't really recommend it. YMMV

What is it to being a swinger couple - Is it always this way - We have been in the lifestyle now for about 3 and a half years and it's been really fun meeting so many new people but I have a question. What is swinging all about? Here's my dilemma I've noticed that people we have played with act in a certain manner that is starting to disgust me. What I don't understand is the fact that all these couples say that they want the friendship at first and everything is great until after we all have sex then it's like we don't exist anymore. Inappropiate before meeting - - I know how I want to deal with it but we need some advice, suggestions, comments on what we should do about this??? A couple contacted us to meet,we exchanger a number of email and phone # to confirm they are a couple. Arranged a meeting date time and place. Everything sounds good so far no red flags, we still have not meet yet. The Mr. of the couple has started to text and sext my Mrs at all different times of the day including at night when she is working NO she was not returning the texts. Swingers In Uniform - Pay your memorial day respects here. - Hello All, I would like to put down some of my (KinkyJoker) thoughts on this thread and some of the posts here. I fully agree with the post & poem from SNS2N1. Memorial day is not my day, it is the day that I thank my Brothers & Sisters that have given their all. I would also like to point out that while most believe that a Military member is willing to give their life for thier family, the fact is that they are willing to give that life for their comrads. I have yet to ever hear of a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine that was thinking of home when they jumped on a Granade/pushed their buddy out of the line of fire/rushed a bunker full of automatic weapons/willing ran in to a hail of bullets to grab a wounded buddy, they were all thinking of saving the life or lives of their buddies. For them, I feel both the swelling and crushing of my heart at the rememberance of their deeds. Also, as stated by SNS2N1, the day for me as a Vet is Nov. 11th. I feel extra blessed because my birthday is the day before, Nov. 10th. Now while this is not the day I was physically brought into this world, it is the day of my birth into something that I will be until I leave this mortal plane. A Marine. However, to be fair, I am a Former Marine, and much to the shame of my best friends, I am now currently in the US Army Reserve. I fully thank the powers that be, that both of my best friends made it through Operation Iraqi Freedom unharmed, as well as the entire roster of my old unit. Now, on to Don Juan. Yes, I am willing to defend his right to show just how big of a self-centered, puesdo-intellectual, narrow minded little piss-ant that he is.
