How did you get started? - - My hubby was interested in exploring his fantasy of being with 2 women in which I told him of my interest in having a 3some with 2 men. tired of the B>S> - - The only chance we have of meeting fakes is if the couple at the club or party turns out to be transsexual dwarfs and were fooled by their elevator shoes making them look taller. We have been around this stuff a good while. Actually we have never tried to meet a couple on this website, we gave that approach to meeting long before this website came to be. (I know my ass doesn't look that old but it is trust me)
Fakes have always plagued these boards, it was FAR WORSE when you didn't have the verification systems in place and while these are good they are still not a guantaree you are dealing with the real deal. The now infamous "Christylynn" was certified as a "real couple" and technically they were a "real couple" just not what you had planned on. You can e-mail someone back & forth till your fingers bleed but your will not truly know what's behind door number two until they walk through the door.
The best way to try and eliminate fakes and flakes is obviously to meet them in person. The only way to hope to be successful is NOT to plan an evening out with ONE COUPLE. We are fortunate enough to have a variety of swingers clubs and organized lifestyle parties in our area to use as a place to meet where we can not only see the couple we can SEE the couples interaction. (This is the part that helps you avoid the flakes) This works great for people like the original poster who lives in West Palm Beach Florida and this is what I recommend.
For those who live in Alta, Utah (Pop.304) this approach is not so good. You fine folks in Alta will probably have to do a little more on-line work to round up some party people. (Just start with real seal at MINIMUM and work it from there...good luck.

Florida swinging - Swinging in Florida - The halloween party was way better then we ever expected so time to chat was at a minumum. The little we did get to chat about this subject seems that most were afraid of all the fakes out there. That explains why we have couples traveling from as far as Plant City to come here. One of our friends took it upon themselves to buy small toys to give to the women at the party so we were going to do one of the chinese gift exchanges where you draw numbers but the action got so hot and heavy so fast that we all forgot about the wrapped toys and I am looking at them as I write this. Other friends are hosting the Christmas Party so we will bring those with us to that party.
I used to think it was that couples here are looking for what you can give them or a free night out but what it seems like at least with our friends is just the right environment to let loose and have fun. We have tons of food left and the wrapped toys so they didn`t come for the handouts. It took us a while to get the right mix and we always seek to add to the mix. So for those who host or are looking for real and active swingers, just hang in there and keep building your contacts one at a time. We always enjoy meeting others and if there is no sexual attraction who cares, but if we like you then we will keep you in mind when interacting with others and might play cupid and introduce you to someone that might be more your taste. But the fact that you are honest with your husband, whether he agrees with you or not (as you are separated and seeking dissolution of your marriage) shows the kind of integrity, so quickly evaporating from our larger society, that is to be commended.
T4REAL69: If you mean to imply that having open sexual relations with others means that as swingers we have no right to define any morals, there are plenty of places in which you may live in your sainted paradise. In our experience the greatest thing we have found among REAL swingers is integrity. This is one of the greatest and most anciently recognized virtues. Without that societies based on social contract of any kind will revert to total lawless brutality. The concept of "The Rule of Law" is a social contract, and has no hold where integrity is absent.
As for our part, we do take self proclaimed singles at their word with the honor system. We appreciate the honesty of those who do tell us about their situation, and decline any opportunities to play with them, as we don't need any of that kind of drama (buckshot anyone?) Even for those who are in the lifestyle and have a "hall pass" we will make a best effort to confirm with all parties that it is ok before we do any play. We do not feel it our place to "out" anyone whom we have discovered as a cheater, as this is something between them, with whomever they are espoused, and with whomever they are involved. If push comes to shove, we will however not hesitate to "throw them under the bus."
