OUTSOURCING - - I thought this was very humorous. My wife and i have been swingers for a while and she is not currently playing the game. while joking around about she not being able to keep up with me she tells me "That is why I outsource you". After thinking about it i find the term really applies. and it works great as a secret word if non-playfriends may be around.

Do you Expect to get laid at Swinger Parties? - - Most of the time, no. Not everybody at a swingers party expects to have sex. But sometimes it depends on the party you go to. Off-premise parties like those thrown by Secret Desires www.secretdesires.org are a great way to meet others in the Lifestyle without the pressure of having sex. I'd recommend checking this out first, the next party is on the 10th of Feb.

Cuming out of the Swinger closet - - After some time in the lifestyle, we have recently started to break the news to some of our close friends that we are swingers. We have great friends and so far they have taken the information really well. However, we have other friends that would never want to hear it, and god forbid if we ever told our family about it. What are everyone else's thoughts about coming out of the "Swinger" closet?

YOLO Cruise April 26 2009 - swingers cruise - We're going as well... should be a fun time!

I'd like some advice.....really, I'm serious. - - We've always gotten a chuckle while running into co-workers on this site, or we discover they are swingers. This has happened quite often, and it's remarkable what a fun common interest it is to have with someone with whom you've only had a working relationship. As for the play part, we rarely if ever approach or intimate that we'd like to play with them, and let them approach us. Swingers should not be embarrased about being in the lifestyle, and if they are...one must quetsion "why"? This is also assuming that if they prefer discretion, those with whom they associate will not let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Even though they may not be seeking single males, why can't you still maintain a friendly relationship with them; undoubtedly the chances of running into them at meet n greets, or house parties exists. You never know, they may get a good chuckle as well. Just be polite, and not approaching like the cliche, stereotyped single male expecting sexual favors from them. Good luck! ~J~

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

Lifestyle friendly doctors - Lifestyle talk - My guess is non-monogamous sex is something they talk with patients about everyday, literally everyday. The fact your spouse knows about it might be the unusual part. There really is nothing to fear with any doctor. Swingers are on the mild scale of sexual issues they talk about, at least that's what our doctor told us.

Players Club - Use it or lose it! - We certainly do not expect every lifestyle couple in Utah to make it a Saturday night ritual to make it to the Players Club, but since almost all agree that they would like a place to go and meet and have fun on weekends where there is not a special party, we feel that those that can try to make it out. We are cetainly not expecting anybody to put other obligations aside ( I know that we certainly don\'t) but then again if we have the time and a couple of bucks we love to see our friends and meet new ones. We might not be able to make it every Saturday but the ones we can, we can\'t think of anything better. When we were having couples night on friday they were still getting good crowds and now that the club has agreed to do it on Saturdays it should even be better. And lets not forget that it is not just a club for swingers or lifestyle people. It is meant for all couples or single females and that is part of what makes it so much fun. Mo & Gary

Gangbang - - I been to a few. It's always been done by close friends so the trust factor was always solid from the get-go. A few drinks...laugh a bit...loosen up. Once the woman was blind-folded and we all took turns touching her. She knew all of us that were there, but still...the thought of her not knowing who was doing what at which time was a turn on to her. She was very open to anything, which was fun. So, yeah...good times. But I think as a single male it's important to understand that yes...it's great getting your rocks off on a woman that loves the attention. That is what I think makes it stimulating for all involved...but I've seen a few guys freeze up over the whole concept when they realize whatever fantasy they been imagining in their head is about to start in front of their faces. LOL Reality slaps a few guys in the face and they realize they can't either a) deal with it or b) can't perform. So I like what Trigeek36 said...if you want a certain number, invite double that. Some are going to have issues. I always liked attached women so the fun of it was just that...all of us having a good time with no-strings. The cool thing is...some of the best people I ever met are swingers. We can always fuck and then go shoot pool afterwards...or vice versa. LOL The main thing is to remember this (single guys)...a guy loves having his woman banged by others...she ain't gonna start dating you. Respect them, buy them both alcohol on a regular basis and you will have a great time for a LONG time. Not sure if that answered any of FOX'S questions but I hope that may have helped somebody. :)

At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - More people know than you think. We have two small kiddos and so mums the word around them, but as for adults well we don't tell anyone except the vibe we throw off to the univeres is contantly comeing back. Hell we don't even know we are throwing it, but We surely are even other swingers in Wal Mart, Gas stations anywhere and more and more we notice them too and then confirm it with them. They might as well be wearing a T-Shirt that say "I'm A Swinger" LOL So the answer lyes in you your vibe is the answer to your ? Great ? kisses Jeaaica and Tre
