However, what we've learned is TOTAL honesty, trust, respect, patience and absolute untethered communication are key! BTW, apparently the bliss is much more powerful than the hurt because we keep trying and trying for some reason? Yep, its like a drug and we're addicted! This is why we dont fault any one for not wanting to "step through that door" so to speak. We suggest to any one that they open that door very, very slowly and even walk away for a bit before entering fully.

Thank you BENT! We agree with you 100% on the honesty and communication aspect. We have been so happy in the year we have been with our couple, but there have been some bumps and mis communications along the way. Fortunately we were able to deal with them and learn from them rather well. We realize that a Poly relationship is very complex and risky, but the rewards outweigh the risks for us. Swinging should not have any bearing on these things. In fact, if more swingers treated each other in this way, we would not see threads titled, "Rude or disprespectful people." or "Interracial swinging" etc etc. I agree with the person who said that you can be a good "christian" and also be a swinger.
Its all about the way you conduct yourself. Its all about moderation and balance. You can drink but you shouldnt drink to excess. You can have fun, but not at the expense of others. I think that it should be a no brainer for all of us.
But it is harder for some than others. LoL.

Honesty - parallels? - The topic of honesty (more accurately, lack thereof) has been prevalent in recent political posts - for good reason. Everyone would like to see more openness and honesty from the candidates.
That sounds similar to one of the most common complaints among swingers.
Here's the question - Does anyone think that a person could win the SURVIVOR TV game on a platform of "honesty"?
Personally, I think it highly unlikely.
Honesty in politics? Honesty in swinging? Honesty in game playing?

New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - The swingers clubs we've gone to were in Phoenix before they closed them (showing our age here) or favorite was Guys and Dolls. They had a stripper pole, free pool tables, a shower area and a large hot tub. We weren't a fan of the hot tub but they keep it free of floating nasties. We went to Club Chameleon when guys and dolls was closed. They had multiple themed rooms (i.e. the dungeon with multiple bdsm accoutrement including a rack, the fish tank which was a room that was surrounded by clear fiberglass, and a large orgy room with a padded floor a lot of couches and porn playing through a projector) they also had multiple stripper pole a dance floor and free pool tables. The entrance was 35/couple, 25/single female and 65/single male. Idk why they got closed but the rumor for Guys and Dolls was that there were prostitutes that paid to enter and then propositioned sex for money. Finding a swingers club in state would be great. Being that we live in Box Elder County we'd probably be able to visit only every couple of months.
We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - I don't kiss and tell but I am so angry.....this was the second time we played. I should have known but they said they were quiet and we just assumed they needed to get to know us and open up. They sure talked a lot pre 2nd playtime how fun it was gonna be etc. The guy asked the girl to leave in the middle of it without any explanation!!! Our intention of this post is only to avoid this in the future. We are really a fun couple and are very disappointed. We look forward to more mature, secure couples to get to know. Obvousily they weren't ready or on the same page. We really want all the couples that we play with to be 110% comfortable and both parties are into the situation and want to play.
OUCH - Anyone caught swinging bu family or friends? - Have to say it happens quite frequently with us...comes from knowing so many folks, I guess. I tend to run into friends of my kids..at meet and greet locations..as well as a relative or two of my own...a nephew that frequents 48...A couple of coworkers are on this site...

Yahoo name and status - - Most the swingers we have meet use yahoo to talk and such quite regularly. COnsidering the chat room here is empty and the instant messenger isnt that great. ANy way in the profiles we could have a spot for thier yahoo anmd if the are on your frined list and maybe even a small little status icon for when they are online.
